Two-day trip to Albania

City of Butrint & Gjirokastro
The first day follows the programme of the one-day tour. From Syri I Kalter you go to Gjirokastro, a strikingly picturesque museum town established in the 13th century and now a World Heritage Site. Gjirokastro is built around the old ‘Kastro' (castle), the town's most interesting archeological site. You stay overnight in a traditional family hotel. In the evening you can join the locals in a stroll through the town, discovering the real lifestyle of this unique country.

After breakfast you'll visit the ethnographic museum, located in the childhood home of former dictator Enver Hoxha. On display are traditional interiors of houses in the region, showing different Turkish influences. Then you visit the old castle and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon the minibus returns you to Saranda, and the ferry back to Corfu.
