 City of Butrint & the Blue Eye
In the morning you take the ferry to Saranda, from where you'll take a relaxing journey (about 20 kilometres) along the coast to the ancient city of Butrint. Butrint dates from 3000 BC and is still in amazingly good condition. The many interesting archeological findings include the beautiful theatre (3000 BC), very valuable mosaic floors, Roman baths and the old city walls. After lunch you'll head inland, to Syri I Kalter, which means ‘the Blue Eye'. Set in beautiful natural surroundings, 18 different springs, of which the Blue Eye is the most exotic, flow. In the afternoon the minibus returns you to Saranda, and the ferry back to Corfu.
