Ghetti’s huis
This substantial three-floor village house is located a few steps from the main square. During the renovation, original architectural features were retained where possible so that tradition blends with comfort. The ground floor has a bedroom with twin beds and a bathroom with shower. The handmade duplicate of the original wooden staircase leads up to a farmhouse-style kitchen with a big table with six chairs, and a sofa bed. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, a four-ring hob with extractor fan, and a fridge. Another stairway leads to the top floor, where the second bedroom has a double bed and an en suite bathroom with shower. The centrepiece of this level is the covered inset balcony, with a fabulous 180 degrees view. The house fronts a wide blind alleyway, and although it has no garden, opposite the main entrance is a pretty stone-flagged yard with a pergola, ideal for outside dining.
Particular details: the house is equipped with a coffee machine, an electric kettle, and a toaster. Cleaning, change of towels and sheets twice a week. Please note prices include a rented car for the whole stay and a welcome pack.

Through the Corfu Heritage Project, which started in 2006, some old village houses were purchased and carefully restored to save them from ruin. While using solid modern construction techniques, the renovation was achieved in a style that exemplifies the former character of Corfu's village houses. Wherever possible, original elements of the construction were reused; where this was not possible, they were replaced with genuine materials salvaged from elsewhere. In this way, the original character and atmosphere of the buildings were preserved, while at the same time modern systems were installed to offer all comforts. Varypatades
This very picturesque traditional settlement is located in the central of Corfu, near the village of Pelekas. Purple bougainvillea and bright geraniums contrast with the old stone houses bordering narrow alleys where you feel that time has stood still. Although the atmosphere in the village is peaceful and quiet, the lively capital of the island, Corfu Town, is only nine kilometres away. Except for an old coffee bar, there are no facilities left in Varipatades, so in the morning the baker delivers bread to the locals in the village square. The nearest supermarket is about five minutes drive away. Nearby are many excellent sandy beaches like Kontoyialos, Glyfada and Agios Gordis. Also in the vicinity is the traditional village of Sinarades, with its folklore museum and beautiful church. Varipatades is the perfect place to unwind and discover the charm of the Greek lifestyle.

Car included: during stay in Ghetti's House a rented car group C (for example Hyundai Accent) is included. The rate includes inlimeted mileage, CDW, third party-, theft- and fire insurance and local taxes. Additional charge FDW: 5 euros per day.
